Our Mission, Values, and beliefs

MISSION STATEMENT: The mission of the Fergus Falls Public Schools is to prepare productive and engaged members of society by creating an environment where all students reach their full potential.

GOALS:

The District will measure its effectiveness by:

  1. Students entering kindergarten will meet school readiness goals.

  2. Achieving grade-level literacy with all third grade students.

  3. The district will begin implementing adult and student social-emotional learning.

  4. The district will begin implementing ISTE standards preK-12th grade.

  5. The district will begin implementing Project-Based Instruction (PBL).

SCHOOL SUPPLY LISTS

open houses 2021

All Open Houses are being held Wednesday, September 1st (UNLESS NOTED OTHERWISE)

Lincoln School: Otter Preschool/ECFE

  • Thursday Sept. 2nd 5:30pm-7:00pm

Kindergarten: TBD

Grades 1-4:

  • 5pm - 7pm

KSS (5-8): Meet in the Auditorium

  • 5th grade: 4:00 p.m.

  • 6th grade: 5:00 p.m.

  • 7th grade: 6:00 p.m.

  • 8th grade: 7:00 p.m.

KSS (Grade 9):

At 6:00 p.m. we will have a 9th-grade Orientation for our incoming 9th-grade students and parent/guardians in the Gold Gym with Mr. Anderson (Principal) and Mr. Thielke (Asst. Principal). All 9th-grade schedules will be available for pick-up in the Gold Gym at this time for students.

KSS (Grades 10-12):

  • 5:30 - 8:00 p.m.

All students, parents/guardians are invited to stop in to meet classroom teachers. All 10th, 11th, and 12th-grade schedules will be handed out that night.

Area Learning Center:

  • 5:00 - 8:00 p.m.

  • There is a new student mandatory enrollment meeting at 6:00 p.m.
